Dasan Hall of SeoulTech

As a new semester begins, SeoulTech once again welcomes students to campus with fresh energy. To help first-year students start their very first chapter at our university, The SeoulTech has taken a closer look at what has recently changed on campus and what information students may find most helpful in their university life.

Newly Updated E-Class

E-Class, the platform that provides services such as management of online lectures, attendance, and assignments, was updated in February. The updated system aims to enhance accessibility, efficiency, and the overall learning experience for students. The changes are as follows:

  • The UI/UX was upgraded, and user convenience in smartphone and tablet environments was improved.

  •
  • Supporting services for AI activities were added.

  •
  • Management of online lectures and make-up classes was made more convenient.

  •
  • Improvements were made to real-time classes and the connection of online and offline lectures.

  •
  • The Smart Attendance app has been upgraded.

Through these updates to e-Class, SeoulTech is attempting to create a digital learning environment that better reflects the rapidly changing educational landscape and supports flexible, technology-driven learning.

Places Every First-Year Student Should Know

Student Health Center

The Student health Center is located on the second floor of Student Union Bldg.2. The center provides basic medical assistance for students in cases of sudden illness or minor injuries. In addition, students can use the INBODY, body composition analysis program for free, which can be especially helpful for managing health during the busy semester.

Namujari & Yeoujari

On the second floor of the First Student Union Bldg.1, there are rest areas. Namujari is for male students and Yeoujari is for female students. Designed to provide a comfortable and quiet environment, these lounges allow students to relax and rest between classes. The spaces are managed by the Student Welfare Committee.

Open 10 a.m. - 7 p.m.

Bookstore

Located in the 100th Memorial Hall, the bookstore sells textbooks for major lectures, providing convenience for students. The store also sells various stationery items and SeoulTech merchandise.

Media Lounge

The media lounge is located on the third floor of the Central Library. It provides an open and comfortable space to study, along with designated zones for viewing movies and other media. Students can freely use TVs and headsets to enjoy various types of multimedia content, making it an ideal place to relax and study.

Places to Study on Campus

SeoulTech provides many places for students to study. The Central Library and the Annex Library are the most popular.

In the Central Library, students can read books or study quietly. The second floor houses the East Asian Collection, which contains East Asian materials and themed resources, as well as study areas. On the third floor, students can use the Reference Periodicals Room and the Multimedia Room, where computers are also available.

The Annex Library includes General Reading Room 2, Laptop Room 2, Group Study Rooms, and Hullabaloo, a space where students can talk freely while studying. Reservations are required for all of these facilities except Hullabaloo.

Beyond library facilities, many academic buildings, such as Eoui Hall, Sangsang Hall, and Mugung Hall, also offer informal study spaces in corridors and common areas. Although these buildings mainly house lecture rooms and professors’ offices, students often use these extra spaces for quiet self-study.

Online e-Books

In addition to offline facilities, SeoulTech offers a variety of online resources. A program that The SeoulTech would like to feature here is the “Kyobo Book eBook (Subscription)” banner on the library homepage. Through this service, students can freely access a wide range of e-books using their SeoulTech ID. This resource, a partnership program between the university and Kyobo Book Center, can be useful for both academic and leisure reading.

Messages to the Students of the SeoulTech

Starting university life can be both exciting and overwhelming. However, SeoulTech offers numerous resources, spaces, and systems designed to support students throughout their upcoming journey. The SeoulTech hopes that all students—especially first-year students—actively explore our campus, make full use of the opportunities provided, and create meaningful memories during their time at SeoulTech. May 2026 be a year of growth, challenge, and discovery for every student.
