The Eoui Sports Festival, one of the festivals representing SeoulTech, took place from September 5 to 22. The sports entries included soccer, basketball, dodgeball, and the popular online game, League of Legends (LOL). One of the highlights of this year's Eoui Sports Festival was that FC ISD, the soccer club of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, achieved the splendid feat of advancing to the finals of the Sports Festival for the first time since the team's inception. The soccer competition consisted of a group stage with group A to H in the qualifying round, followed by the final matches. A total of 24 teams applied for participation, then three teams were randomly assigned to 8 groups, and the group stage was held.
FC ISD advanced to the finals with a 4-2 victory in a penalty shootout against the winner of the previous sports festival, FC Energizer A, the Department of Electrical and Information Engineering, in the semifinals. Unfortunately, FC ISD lost at the final match by a score of 0-4 with the match against FC GAIA, the Department of Sports Sciences. However, the performance shown by the participating players raised expectations for endless development in the future of SeoulTech.
