As February approaches, my time as Chief Editor is drawing to a close. This issue marks the final chapter of my journey with The SeoulTech, and soon, I will be graduating from SeoulTech. Before I step away, I want to take a moment to epress my deepest gratitude to the faculty, the professors who guided us with valuable feedback, our dedicated reporters, and, most importantly, our readers.

The SeoulTech is lucky to have such a diverse readership. Over time, I’ve come to realize that each of our readers looks for something different in our pages. For international students, we strive to be a helpful bridge to campus life and Korean society. For Korean students, we hope to be a friendly companion on crossing the bridge between different languages. I was deeply touched to learn that professors have even mentioned our articles during class. With this in mind, our misfsion has always been clear. We wanted to ensure that international students wouldn’t miss out on important updates due to language barriers. At the same time, we wanted to show Korean students that writing in English is not rocket science. We have always tried to make everyone could feel a little closer to the English language.

Looking back, the Torchlight Festival remains my most cherished memory. Setting up a booth and meeting our readers in person was a truly special experience. It was heartwarming to see so many students discovering our newspaper for the first time. By sharing our process with you, I felt the distance between us disappear. Thanks to that connection, many students showed interest in joining The SeoulTech, allowing us to welcome wonderful new reporters. Our reporters also read every single message that students left on the Post-it notes. They were a huge source of energy for us.

As I wrap up, I would like to share one last thought. It is no secret that student media and student autonomy face challenges today. SeoulTech has a practical atmosphere where employment is a top priority and rightly so. However, regardless of how you arrived here, you are a vital part of this community. The events that unfold on campus are not stories happening to someone else. They are part of your life here. I truly hope you will em- brace these moments as your own stories, rather than just news passing by. Your interest and affec- tion make all the difference. 2026 will bring amazing changes to SeoulTech, including new departments, a renovated Main Gate, and the completion of the new Library. To the students who remain, I hope you continue to watch over SeoulTech with love and curiosity.

Finally, to my fellow reporters, thank you for standing by me. I hope that the challenges we overcame together will be a meaningful stepping stone that helps you grow into strong, resilient adults ready to take on the world.
