Recently, to amplify the university’s global voice and bring the electric energy of campus life straight to your screens, the SeoulTech SNS Buddy program was arranged. This dynamic team serves as the ultimate digital trendsetters on campus, producing high-energy Instagram reels, aesthetic vlogs, and student spotlights that capture the true flavor of the university’s international community. Their mission is to showcase the absolute best of SeoulTech to the world, transforming standard campus updates into bite-sized, engaging guides while highlighting the rich, multicultural spice of university life.

To dive into how they are turning daily university moments into a global media phenomenon, The SeoulTech has conducted interviews with SeoulTech Buddy members.

Q. What made you decide to become a part of SeoulTech Buddy?

A. I decided to become a global creator because I have always dreamed of working in this field. What led me to apply for this role is my belief that it could become the perfect starting point for my university life.

B. As an international student myself, I understand what it’s like to arrive in a new country, find yourself in unfamiliar surroundings, and not know what to expect. That’s why I wanted to be part of this program. I wanted to help other students feel more confident by providing useful information about our university and showing them there are international students who are willing to help. Plus, I already had experience of managing social media and organizing events, and I wanted to use those skills for the university’s promotion.

Q. What prospects do you expect for the university and yourself through this position?

A. I hope the SNS Global Creator program can help SeoulTech become more appealing to prospective international students who want to study in Korea. I also want the program to showcase all the opportunities, facilities, and unique aspects that SeoulTech has to offer, because our university truly deserves more recognition.

B. For the university, I think this program can increase visibility among international audiences and attract more international students. Personally, I hope to further develop my content creation skills, learn how to collaborate in a professional environment, and gain practical experience that will help me in the future.

Q. How would you describe international opportunities offered by our university?

A. I think SeoulTech is a very foreigner-friendly institution. You can clearly see this through the increasing number of English-taught programs and through opportunities like this one, where an international full-time student is trusted to create content for the university’s official social media accounts.

B. I believe that the university has great potential in this area, as it already has international students and exchange programs, which provide a solid foundation. However, if these opportunities would be promoted more actively through social media, especially from the perspective of the international students themselves, interest from an international audience will grow significantly, and that’s exactly what I want to help with.

As SeoulTech continues to expand its international presence, programs such as SeoulTech Buddy demonstrate how student voices can play an important role in shaping the university’s global image. Rather than simply promoting the campus, these creators share real experiences, cultural perspectives, and daily moments that make SeoulTech feel more approachable to students around the world.

For many international students, content created by fellow students can provide reassurance and familiarity before even arriving in Korea. At the same time, the program offers creators valuable opportunities to develop communication, media production, and teamwork skills in a professional environment. Through the perspectives of students who actively experience campus life firsthand, SeoulTech Buddy is gradually building a more connected, multicultural, and globally engaged university community.
