SeoulTech graduation ceremony was held at 11:00 AM on February 16, 2023. In the graduation ceremony, the university president, vice president, graduate president, and faculty members of SeoulTech attended. In addition, honorary doctorate candidates, principal professors, department heads, degree recipients and families participated. The graduation ceremony was held in the following order: opening ceremony, national ritual, academic report, ceremony greeting, congratulatory speech, awarding of degree certificates, and closing ceremony. Also, a photo zone was operated from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM on the same day in the plaza of 100th Memorial Hall. Graduates borrowed graduation gowns necessary for filming at their department offices. Many graduates received their degree certificate at their major offices as well.

On February 17, 2023, an entrance ceremony was held for new students at the university gymnasium and the auditorium of 100th Mermorial Hall at 10:30 AM. It was held face-to-face, and before the entrance ceremony, students could take pictures at the photo wall installed near the main gate. After that, the official entrance ceremony was conducted by about 30 presidents, employees, and about 50 new student representatives from each department. Here is the order of the proceedings: ceremony greeting, congratulatory speech, club introductions & performances, and closing ceremony.

The president's congratulatory speech for the 2023 school year entrance ceremony is as follows.

SeoulTech's freshmen!

Congratulations and welcome to your admission ceremony!

You have worked hard to overcome the most important entrance examination in your life. Also, | sincerely thank the parents for encouraging new students to be here.

This year, SeoulTech is celebrating 113 years of history and tradition. It has made remarkable progress from the Public Eoui-dong Vocational School in 1910 to the current SeoulTech. In responding to the decline in the school-age population and changes in industry, our university is not afraid of change and innovation. As part of that, two years ago, SeoulTech established a College of Creativity and Convergence Studies to foster high-tech talents in areas such as artificial intelligence, semiconductors, and energy, and it is preparing to establish an International College to foster global talent.

Freshmen! You are the future of SeoulTech.

All faculty and staff will strive to make Seoullech esteemed by students, trusted by parents, and favored by companies. However, the future of SeoulTech depends more on each and every one of you than anyone else.

As the president of SeoulTech, I would like to ask you to do the following with my senior's heart.

First, become a true university student.

You're no longer a high school student who memorizes teachers’ instructions on a set timetable. Have active discussions with your peers, stay up all night preparing for your presentations, and take initiative in learning. Please visit the professors as soon as you have time and have a lot of conversations with them. They are willing to make time for you.

By doing these things, your imagination will no longer be a dream, but a reality.

Next, get out of the classroom and face the world off campus.

Campus life without regrets is not just about studying hard. Please actively participate in various programs provided by the school and think about what you really want to achieve. Participate in internal and external club activities, volunteer activities, exchange student programs, part-time jobs, and start-ups. You will get more than just the theory you learned from the books you studied.

Finally, be a true intellectual.

A person who lacks consideration and does not know how to respect others is not a true intellectual. But the advent of new technologies can complicate and obscure standards of consideration and respect.

As such, it takes knowledge, experience, and courage to practice basic ethics and moral values in a modern technological society. A true intellectual with these abilities will be the leader in our future society.

Freshmen!

My heart flutters when | imagine the wonderful future ahead of you.

With a full heart, | support you, who are at the starting line of your campus life.

Once again, congratulations on your admission to SeoulTech.

Thank you.
