Do you know that SeoulTech has organizations that support international students? The SeoulTech learned about their 2024 second semester goals through interviews with the presidents of each organization: the International Student Club and the Union of International Student Clubs.

The International Student Club has not only international students, which include students studying abroad, exchange students, and language course students, but also Koreans.

The Union of International Student Clubs has only students studying abroad. It is composed of seven international student clubs representing students from Myanmar, Mongolia, Vietnam, China, Iran, Indonesia, and CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States).

If you are interested in these organizations, you can check out the events through each organization's Instagram

(@isc_seoultech, @seoultech.stic).

An interview with the president of the International Student Club (ISC)

Q1. Could you introduce yourself?

A1. Hello, my name is Yebin Shim, studying in the Department of Environmental Engineering, who will serve as the president of the ISC for the second semester of 2024.

Q2. Could you briefly introduce the ISC?

A2. We have helped students from different countries interact with each other, activate internal exchanges, promote Korea through various events, and adapt to school life and Korean culture.

Q3. What's the plan of the ISC for the second semester of 2024?

A3. We try to stick to existing events and improve them by reflecting feedback. We've been doing various events such as school festivals, cultural trips, campus tours, orientation, picnic, and farewell party.

Q4. The ISC operates with the support of the Office of International Affairs. Do you have anything you would like to improve regarding OIA support?

A4. We wish the budget needed to prepare for events would expand.

Due to budget constraints, we have no choice but to lower the quality of the events. Financial support is an essential step to reach our goals.
